ABSTRACT Objective::To study the clinical application of compound articaine hydrochloride injection in painless extraction. Methods::102 dental patients were randomly divided into two groups, either group with 51 cases. The treatment group were treated with compound articaine hydrochloride, and the control group used lidocaine anesthesia. The two groups were observed for their duration and effects of anesthesia. Results::Receiving their extraction, 37 cases (72.5%) in the treatment group were completely paniless while 24 cases (47.1%) in the control group were completely painless, and there was significant difference between the two groups (P<0.01). The rate of total effectiveness in the treatment group was 98.0%, while that was 84.3% in the control group, and there was significant difference in the two groups (P<0.05). The rate of times to show anesthesia effect within 2 min was 43.1% (22 cases) in the treatment group and 31.4% (16 cases) in the control group, but there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). The anesthesia duration was(128.45±54.72) minutes in the treatment group while that was(122.41±72.42) minutes in the control group with no significant difference (P>0.05) between the two groups.Conclusion::The application of articaine hydrochloride compound anesthetic in extraction had its good effect, rapid onset and long duration. Therefore, compound articaine hydrochloride was worthy of popularization in painless extraction. |
