ABSTRACT Objective:To know the usage of Chinese herbaldecoction pieces and boil free granule in the out patient department of our hospital from 2013 to 2015, and to provide reference for the scientific purchase and clinical rational use of this kind of medicine. Methods:The variety, quantity, amount, defined daily dose system (DDDs) and defined daily cost (DDC) of Chinese medicine used in the TCM pharmacy of our hospital during the period from 2013 to 2015 were analyzed statistically. Results:The quantity and amount of Chinese medicine decoction pieces have been declining. Astragalus, Poria, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Angelica sinensis, Radix Paeoniae Alba ranked top 5 of the annual sales amount for three consecutive years. Poria, Angelica sinensis, Scutellaria Baicalensis, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Astragalus ranked top 5 of DDDs series. The quantity and amount of the boil free granule of traditional Chinese medicine showed a strong upward trend. Astragalus, Poria, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Angelica sinensis, Salvia miltiorrhiza ranked top 5 of the annual sales amount for three consecutive years. Angelica sinensis, Poria, Scutellaria Baicalensis, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Atractylodes ranked top 5 for DDDs.Conclusion:The quantity of the top 10 variety of Chinese medicine decoction pieces and boil free granule was relatively stable in our hospital. The amount and DDDs of boil free granule of Chinese medicine usage was far more than decoction pieces. The drugs used were common varieties. There was no obvious irrational use, but the result showed Physicians’ tendency existed. |
