| ABSTRACT Objective:To focus on elderly outpatients medical safety,andpromote the rational use of drugs.Methods:Beers (2012 edition) criteria as the main basis, to evaluation analysis potentially inappropriate medication (PIM) of our hospital in 3012 elderly patients. Results: According to the Beers criteria, at total of 162 (5.4%) patients developed at least one PIM, 129(4.6%) patients using the medicine which were banned to elderly.; 46(1.5%)patients t used cautiously medications for elderly patients; 13 (8%) patients had two PIM , 354 (11.8%) patients with PIM were not included by Beers criteria;PIM donot use in elderly patients duce to drug disease or drug syndrome interactions.Conclusion: The Beers criteria is an important supplement of professional judgment, PIM of the elderly outpatients needs comprehensive evaluation criteria. |
