ABSTRACT Objective: In order to improve the ADR monitoring and reporting job, the cognitive level in medical staff for adverse drug reaction (ADR) was investigated. Methods:383 medical staff was chosen at random to participate in the questionnaire survey. The results were analyzed by excel 2007 and SPSS19.0. Many factors were taken into account to estimate the overall, including the background, cognition, cognitive approaches, etc. Results:370 valid questionnaires were collected and the effective rate was 96.61%.55.88% medical staff has a correct understanding on the concept of ADR. Nearly half (47.0%) of the medical staff will take the initiative to focus on ADR, mainly through television or the Internet and professional journals. 43% of the respondents met ADR at work. A lot of them did not know about the ADR monitoring rule in our hospital, which reached 40.5%. The reason of unreported mainly concentrated in “do not know the way to report” and “did not cause serious consequences”, which reached 35.2%and 32.5% respectively. Of all the report ways, the HIS system was known by the most researchers, accounting for 60.2%. Nearly 3/4 of the respondents supported to set up a reward and punishment system to regulate and promote the work of collecting ADRs. Conclusion:Further publicity on the concept and reporting ways of ADR is needed. The means of information to simplify the reporting progress and the addition of a reward and punishment system may be useful to enhance the monitoring work of ADR. |
