ABSTRACT Objective:To analyze the characteristics of adverse reactions caused by Ginkgo leaf extract and dipyridamole injection,and explore the factors related to this phenomenon in order to provide the reference to clinical rational drug use.Methods:The data of Ginkgo leaf extract and dipyridamole injection adverse reactions in our hospital were collected from the National Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring System from 2008 to 2013. A descriptive analysis was made on distribution of patients’ age/sex, proportions of new/serious cases, the combination medication, organs entailed by ADR, clinical manifestations, ADR results and relevance evaluation.Results:There were 38 cases of adverse drug reactions induced by Ginkgo leaf extract and dipyridamole injection from 2008 to 2013 in our hospital, of which 4 cases were serious; 78.95% was in accordance with the drug instructions; 21.05% was not conformed to the instructions of the indications. Moreover, 42.11% of the patients with single amount exceeded the specifications recommended dosage; 97.37% of the patients were insufficient solvent, 5.26% of the patients combined with other drugs.Conclusion: Not conforming to the instructions of the indications, the combination of medication, incorrect dosage and insufficient solvent contributed to the adverse reactions caused by Ginkgo leaf extract and dipyridamole injection. Ginkgo leaf extract and dipyridamole injection should be used according to the instructions to prevent the occurrence of ADR and improve rational drug levels. |
