ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the use trend of antiviral drugs of 32 hospitals in Wuhan area over the past six years and provide reference for the rational drug use. Methods:Analyzing the consumption, DDDs and daily drug cost (DDC) of antiviral drugs in 32 hospitals in Wuhan area from 2008 to 2013. Results: From 2008 to 2013, the total consumption and DDDs of antiviral drugs in Wuhan area were increasing. Entecavir, adefovir, lamivudine, telbivudine and ganciclovir ranked the top 5 in terms of consumption sum; while the top 5 in DDDs were adefovir, entecavir, ribavirin, telbivudine and lamivudine. The DDC of most antiviral drugs were relatively stable,but individual drugs such as oseltamivir and Chuanhuning displayed larger fluctuation in DDC. Conclusion:During the period of 2008 to 2013, the utilization of anti viral drugs of 32 hospitals in Wuhan area is basically stable. Western medicine occupys main market, with effective entecavir and low price adefovir increased rapidly, while Chuanhuning were less used as the representative of the traditional Chinese medicine. |
