ABSTRACT Objective:To discuss protection effect of mesalazine combined with bifidobacterium tetravaccine tablets on lipid peroxidation damage of patients with ulcerative colitis(UC). Methods:72 cases of patients with mild to moderate UC in activity period, were selected and divided into experimental group and control group by table of random numbers, with 36 cases of patients in either group. The patients in control group were given 1.0g mesalazine enteric coated tablets per time, four times a day, through the mouth, while the patients in experimental group were additionally given 1.5g bifidobacterium tetravaccine tablets per time, three times a day, for 6 weeks. The serum malondialdehyde (MDA), oxidized low density lipoprotei(ox LDL), lipid peroxidation produc(LPO) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels of patients in two groups were judged and compared before and after medical treatment, and the clinical curative effect and adverse drug reaction (ADR) were evaluated as well. Results:After 6 weeks’ medical treatment, serum MDA, ox LDL and LP0 levels of patients in two groups were obviously declined than before, while SOD levels obviously were rose than before(P<0.05 or P<0.01), and the improvement rate of patients in experimental group was much higher than that in control group(P<0.05). Meanwhile, total clinical efficiency of patients in experimental group (93.75%) was much higher than that in control group(73.53%,P<0.05). Compared the adverse drug reaction of patients in two groups, there were no statistical differences appeared (P>0.05). Conclusion:Mesalazine combined with bifidobacterium tetravaccine tablets had significant curative effect on UC, and could obviously improve clinical symptom and improve the healing of intestinal mucosa, whose mechanism of action had close effect on reducing serum MDA, ox LDL and LPO level, raising SOD level and protecting lipid peroxidation damage. |
