ABSTRACT Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and security of naftifine and ketoconazole cream combined with itraconazole capsule in treatment of recurrent fungal otitis externa. Methods:A total of 48 patients with recurrent fungal otitis externa were randomly divided into two groups, the control group (n=24) was treated only with naftifine and ketoconazole cream(ad us ext, qd, 2 weeks), and naftifine and ketoconazole cream combined with itraconazole capsule(200 mg,po, qd, 2 weeks) were applied in the observation group(n=24). Then recent and late result and safety of therapy was evaluated in the two groups. Results:After the treatment, the total effective rate of treatment was 100.0% in the observation group, which was superior to the control group’s 83.3% (P<0.05). After treatment, both groups were followed up for 6 months, there was no recurrence in the observation group, but the recurrence rate was 20.0% in the control group; the recurrence rate of observation group was obviously lower than the control group(P<0.05). During the treatment, there wasn’t adverse reaction occurred in two groups of patients. Conclusion:The effect of naftifine and ketoconazole cream combined with itraconazole capsule in the treatment of the recurrent fungal otitis externa was remarkable, and it had good safety. |
