ABSTRACT Objective: To discuss the pathogens, characteristics and regularities of allergic laryngeal edema so as to provide reference for its preventions, detections and clinical treatments by retrospective analysis of the literatures. Methods:The case reports of allergic laryngeal edema, published on Chinese medical periodicals from CNKI Database and Wanfang Database during the period of 1980 to 2014, were collected to set up the “allergic laryngeal edema Database”. The data were classified and analysed according to the pathogens. Results: There were 337 records involved in 10 kinds of pathogens in the database, such as drug, food, health products and so on. The mainly accompany symptoms are dyspnea, hoarseness, polypnea, chest tightness,increased heart rate, tachycardia, cyanosis lips, a lowering of blood pressure, cough, etc. The mainly clinical treatments are oxygen inhalation, injecting dexamethasone, epinephrine, promethazine, calcium gluconate and other antiallergic drugs.Conclusion:The allergic laryngeal edema was a serious allergic disease, which should be given great attention in daily life and in clinic. And the laryngeal edema patients should be treated according to different pathogens and symptoms. |
