ABSTRACIn order to promote sound pharmacoepidemiologic research and meet the needs of current practice, the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology released the latest version of the Guidelines for Good Pharmacoepidemiology Practice(GPP) in June 2015. The new GPP covered several areas including protocol development, responsibilities, personnel, facilities, resource commitment, contractors, study conduct, communication, adverse event reporting, and archiving. Compared with the previous version, the new GPP supported a broader range of studies and included more comprehensive recommendations for protocol registration, ethical integrity and adverse event reporting. Learning about the main contents and recent advances in the new GPP could provide a useful basis for good pharmacoepidemiologic research in China. |
