| ABSTRACT Objective:To study the clinical efficacy and safety of Jinhuang powder combined with indomethacin in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis(AGA).Methods:58 cases of AGA patients who received treatment in the hospital were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was treated with indomethacin, and the observation group was given Jinhuang powder combined with indomethacin additionnally. The course was 7 days. The clinical symptoms, laboratory index, the clinical efficacy and incidence of adverse drug reaction were observed. Results:The total efficiency for patients in the observation group was 93.10%, which was significant higher than that of control group(P<0.05), which was 72.41%. While compared the total clinical efficacy, the observation group was superior to the control group. After treatment, the scores of joint symptom and the levels of ESR, BUA, WBC were all decreased in both groups than before(P<0.01) and the changes of scores of joint symptom and laboratory index in the observation group were significantly better than the control group(P<0.05 and P<0.01). There was no significant difference in two groups while compared the adverse drug reaction during the treatment(P>0.05). Conclusion:In the treatment of gouty arthritis, Jinhuang powder combined with indomethacin could obviously improve the joint symptoms, low down the levels of BUA and inflammatory index, and it had good clinical efficacy. |
