| ABSTRACT Objective: To study the general rules and characteristics of adverse drug reaction/event (ADR/ADE) induced by ribavirin and to provide references for clinical rational use of the drugs. Methods:1 071 cases of ADR/ADE related to the ribavirin from June 2006 to June 2018 in Hubei province were analyzed using retrospective study method. The demographic characteristic, drug use reasons, drug combination, adverse reaction involved organ system distribution and clinical manifestation were analyzed. Results:The ADRs/ADEs involved seven kinds of dosage forms, the injections accounted for the largest proportion (84.12%). The ADRs/ADEs occurred in all age groups, and there were slightly more male than female patients. The ADR/ADE clinical manifestations were complicated and diversified, but chiefly characterized by rash and allergic reactions, or even anaphylactic shock and damage of the blood system in serious cases. Conclusion:Adverse reactions of ribavirin were correlated with individual differences, strictly controlled the indications and avoided unreasonable drug combinations, in order to reduce the incidence of ADR/ADE. |
